Head down!

Last Tuesday I had a routine checkup and my Doc had some extra time so we got to take a quick look with the Ultrasound to see what baby foy was up to. And we got a surprise... she had turned around over the last week and now was HEAD DOWN! And thats just where we want her to be for delivery! yippie!!
We were unable to see the sex due to her positioning but i kinda wanted to double check because everyone... and I mean EVERYONE thinks i'm carrying a boy! (Due to it being high)..even a few doctors have told me that.
If she comes out.. and she is a he... i guess he will have to like PINK! :-)

Right now baby Foy is approx 5 lbs and is doing cartwheels in utero!

Tonight Mike and I head to our baby prep class. We are going to be talking about pain managment and will get a tour of the labor & delivery floor I will be on at Mercy hospital.

This weekend we head to Oshkosh to visit "Grandma&pa Lyster" and have a little baby shower with friends and family.

Baby class

Last night Mike and I went to our first Pregnancy Class at the hospital. There
were 10 other couples there each with their own pregnancy stories of joys and concern.
We learned about Pre-term labor signs and got to watch a crazy video about the steps of labor.
At the end of the video Mike and I just looked at each other in dead silence. yikes...was all we were thinking!
The rest of the class went smoothly and we got to practice some couples relaxation techniques and ways to decrease pain/tension during labor.

This weekend we head up to Brainerd for the weekend to celebrate AnneMarie and Chris' wedding reception with a pig roast and yard games! Can't wait... hope baby will allow me to play badmitton.. i have a few extra pounds to carry around these days! :-)

Week 32

Today I had another check up with the doctor.

Everything looks good.

My blood pressure and weight are right where they are suppose to

be and babys heart rate is 120. Perfect! She is approx 4 pounds.

The doctor was able to feel her head..which was right where i thought it would be... under

my Right Ribs! She has been moving alot more these days, so much that my stomach changes shapes right before my eyes.

Next Wednesday Mike and I head to our first Birthing Class at the hospital. There are 6 classes in all.

Wow... only 10 more weeks to go.

Seems so close.. yet so far at the same time!

Pregnancy is still going well for me. I've had some nasty acid reflux over the last month and started taking Pepcid AC to help with it. It helps most of the time but i can still feel it most days.

My cravings have been pretty boring... ive been eating alot of fresh fruit and yogurt..i also love eating breakfast food at all hours of the day. I made a huge batch of waffles for dinner last week and ate them over the next few days. Also cereal is one of my fav snacks.

Meat on the other hand still doesn't appeal to me. I try to get in a few bites of dinner that Mike makes but my stomach is smaller than it use to be thanks to baby foy pushing her way up under the ribs.

Right now she is about 3 pounds but i feel she is more. I know I have more growing to do but i really think she may run out of space down there! sheesh!

Besides the acid issue..sleeping has been a pain lately too. I wake up at least once a night to use the bathroom and find it very hard to get in a comfortable position. i toss and turn alot.

Mike and Mir's TODO List

1. Ask around about child care

2. Mir talk to HR to get time off after babys born approx 10 weeks.

3. Go to Birthing classes

4. Attend baby showers

5. Rub Mir's back

6. Discuss babys name for the 100th time!

* Week 28 : The Nursery *

What a busy week Mike and I had. We started in on the nursery and almost have it all done!

Our colors are pink and brown and over the last few weeks we've been searching high and low for the perfect bedding... FINALLY on Monday we came across the last one in the store that was calling our name.
It was hard shopping because we didn't want anything too busy but with some color , but not too babyish......(basically i was one picky person during the last few days, and Mike was such a good sport (most of the time) haha!
Here is a picture of the room we started off with...
The day we got the carpet in we also put together the crib... it took us till midnight but it sure turned out nice! The next night Mike and I put together the changing table. That went a bit smoother then the crib. :-)

We just love our little girls room..I sure hope our ultrasound was correct..and its not a boy in there! Otherwise he will have to love PINK!

My super comfy glider

On Sunday we got to show off all of our hard work to the guests of my baby shower that my mother-in-law & Anne Marie put on for me. We had yummy food, fun games and waaaay to many presents for baby Foy! Pictures coming soon....

Baby Foy goes camping !

Over Memorial Day weekend Mike and I packed up the jeep and headed into central Wisconsin for our yearly camping trip/reunion with family and friends. This tradition began in the late 70s and has been going ever since.
I grew up going to this camp outing and I knew I couldn't miss it by being pregnant so we packed extra comfy blankets and a sturdy blow up mattress and headed out into the woods!

The weather was great, food yummy and being with family friends around the campfire is such a great experience...wish we could do it more than once a year!

One of the highlites of this camping trip is all the great food and drinks that people bring. On Saturday we had a beer tasting with snacks and Sunday was Wine & Cheese tasting. It definitly was hardto watch everyone enjpying their cocktails but my grape cool-aid tasted quite nice in a wine glass.

Next year will be interesting to see how our 9 month old does..all i know is that it can be done and has been done numerous times over the generations.

The newest member of our camping gang 8 month old Paul !!! Such a happy baby!

When do you think we will have our baby?
